Funding for Co-organization and Participation
What is the purpose of this funding?
The objective is to ensure that female researchers gain a voice in the shaping and exercise of decision-making processes at the university. The Co-organization STEP uses funding for teaching positions and personnel support measures to expand existing options, such as accelerated or shared sabbaticals, credit for teaching obligations and/or programs of the Office for Family Services for childcare during official events. This is intended to help female researchers use their time beyond research and instruction on participation and co-organization of university decision-making processes, thus enriching the University’s development through their expertise.
What does the funding include?
The University of Bonn will provide funding centrally for teaching positions or personnel support for the female researcher. This is intended to afford researchers the chance to take an accelerated sabbatical, potentially divided across multiple semesters. The funding can also be provided for special payments such as the establishment of a research seminar, training of doctoral students or assumption of responsibility for appointment and committee work.
